The food and beverage industry relies on PTFE and PFA lined pipework to maintain the highest standards of purity in manufacturing processes. These materials are chosen for their unique properties, which ensure that production lines remain clean, safe, and efficient.
PTFE and PFA are almost completely chemically inert, meaning they do not react with food ingredients or cleaning agents. Their hydraulically smooth surface also makes cleaning fast and easy, reducing downtime and ensuring consistent product quality.
At CRP, our PTFE lined pipes and PFA lined fittings are manufactured using advanced techniques such as paste-extrusion for PTFE and moulding for PFA. These processes produce linings of the highest quality, delivering true hydraulic smoothness. While many assume all PTFE is smooth, this is only achieved through the correct processing methods of which CRP use.
These properties make paste extruded PTFE and PFA ideal for high-pressure and high-temperature applications in food and drink manufacturing. They provide a non-stick surface, resist UV degradation, and maintain integrity under demanding conditions, ensuring long-term reliability and safety.
CRP only use FDA compliant materials as wetted parts. Ideal for the Food and beverage industry where compliance is paramount. The only exception to this is our Anti-static PFA liner however CRP have alternative options to ensure your pipeline is FDA approved.
Our PTFE / PFA HiPerFlon liners maintain the water and alkaline purity. Our PFA and paste extruded PTFE liners can reduce impurity levels to below 36 ppt, allowing for the highest quality manufacturing process. For food and beverage as well as semi-conductor companies where purity and ease of cleaning are major requirements, CRP’s lined pipework offers the perfect solution. By combining superior materials with expert manufacturing, we help food and beverage manufacturers meet strict hygiene standards while optimising operational efficiency.
