High Temperature Flange Shields

Flange spray guards are used to protect personnel from uncontrolled spray out from a failing flange joint.

For applications up to 1,100° C / 2012°F or for high pressure piping systems operating up to 200 barg  / 2900 PSI we can supply flange shields manufactured from stainless steel. They are quickly installed with secured with a stainless steel adjustable clamp.
There is a layer of stainless steel netting held around the flange joint that dissipates the line pressure if the joint were to leak.

These shields are commonly used on hot oil systems to protect personnel against accidental spray out of media. Most ships sailing today use flange shields in their engine rooms to protect their crew from these dangers. We can supply shields for large diameter flanges up to class 600.
