Figure 8 Spectacle Blinds
The spectacle or Figure 8 blind is a wafer fitting designed to swivel around one of the flange bolts. They have the advantage over blanking spades of it being quite clear as to whether the blind is in the open or closed position. For the most popular sizes CRP supply an extremely robust blind with a stainless steel core lined in PFA which does not suffer from PTFE movement of the flared faces which can occur on other designs.

Please note we only supply PTFE/PFA lined or solid PTFE spades and blinds, we do not supply metallic blinds with serrated faces etc. typically used in the petrochemical industry.
